A Blog About Nothing
02.18.09 (11:48 am) [edit]The kid that sits next to me in Anatomy and Physiology class fell asleep today. He is mostly unconscious every class period, but today he must have hit some REM sleep. He was breathing so deeply that people across the aisle and down a few rows were turning back and snickering in his direction. In dating Greg, I have learned to let the sleepers sleep, so I just left him there and strained to hear the prof lecture. I was tempted to smack him awake a couple times, but I refrained. He did eventually awake from his slumber.
Some days I wish I had the ability to sleep in class. I've missed that part of studenthood--falling asleep in class. I have the hardest time sleeping sitting upright. The only times I've managed to accomplish this were once in freshman biology in high school when we were watching boring movies which we wouldn't be tested over with the lights out on an overcast day and then the next year in World History, I took a nap after a test since we weren't going to be doing anything else the rest of the class period. Both of those times were facilitated by boredom and a little need too. I can sleep as a passenger on a long car ride, but only after getting bored with watching the world whiz by. Todays like today though make me glad I can't sleep in class. That kid takes about five sentences of notes a day. I have no idea how he intends to pass that class. I did also note yesterday during a quiz that he is a cheater and likes to glance at his companions' paper. I haven't taken a test sitting next to him yet, so I will be extra careful when I do. That is one thing I can't stand-- when I do all the hard work studying and someone else gets credit for it.
I'm going to another bridal expo this weekend. Fun. I'm not really looking forward to the crowds, but getting the info is necessary and getting to "sample" all the food is definitely a perk. I'm one of those people that will "sample" something I like every fifteen minutes or so. hehe.
The kitchen sink finally got fixed. There for a while if you didn't turn the cold water to blasting, the faucet would sing to you in a rather loud, high pitched voice. Fixing it has made doing dishes not quite so hazardous to my health. It still is hazardous though, which is why I avoid it if possible. (That is total BS for those of you that take things literally. I'm just not a dishes person. I'm the floor person. I like to walk barefoot in my house and do NOT enjoy when yuck sticks to my feet when I do so; therefore, my floors are always clean.)
I've decided my blog is a lot like Seinfeld in that it's a blog about nothing. The only theme tying any of the entries-- and often times the multiple topics in each entry-- together are that they are written by the same person, the marvelous me. Haha.

Think your right...a cheater is always worse off for the cheating! He didn't really learn the material!
Don't know what to make of the sleeping guy...think there is something far more wrong than just being a little tired!! He should heck into it, and get help...before he gets into big trouble!
