Blood and Chocolate (The Movie)

Blood & Chocolate

This movie is based upon one of my favorite books by Annette Curtis Klause. The movie doesn't look half as good as the book, but I will be going to see it just because I am a loyal B&C fan.

The movie makes out the story line to be some sort of new twist on Romeo and Juliet. The book takes that plot much further and slices it so Romeo and Juliet are unrecognizable so you don't really even know who Romeo and Juliet are until the last few pages! I highly doubt the movie will use the same ending as the book; that ending just doesn't seem like a good movie to me, but I loved it!

Oh, sorry, I haven't said what this movie/book is actually about. The main character, Vivian, is a werewolf and must make choices throughout and a final choice as to which she loves more: the side of her that craves blood or the side of her that desires chocolate.

I have to confess that the title at the first glace looks rather stupid. Another ashaming example how not to judge the book on its cover, as further burrowing revealed that its about werewolves! Thanks for the tip, i think i will get me the book. mhmmm chocolate

As always eh? The book is always better. As it's one of your fave books, so I might buy this book too (I love reading, not much watching :p), thanks for sharing :D

The title refers to the main character's love of both her human and wolf aspects. Hahaha. Chocolate in the title is what first got me interested in it! lol.

I'm more a reader myself. Personally, I think seeing the movie before reading the book ruins the book. Of course that ruins the movie, but the book--like you said-- is more than likely the better of the two.

Can't she incorporate both into her diet? Sounds interesting. Which would you choose?

Sorry -- I am laughing very hard at the last comment by Bawdy.

I think movies ruin most books anyways. Sometimes it robs you of your
own imagination.

LOL! I always look forward to your comments, bawdy! I would choose the chocolate, of course, because not only am I human, I am female. haha.

This is true. I've still got to see it.

I think that watching too much tv and playing too many video games and not engaging in imaginitive games as children is why so many people of my age group and younger have ADD. No one reads enough anymore. I always preferred reading because no matter how hard Hollywood trys, they will never be able to conjure monsters as scary as the ones our own minds dream up.

I liked the way the book ended. The ending in itself is a twist, if you ask me. I wasn't expecting it in the least. I'm not sure if the end could be placed in either a happy or sad ending. Just depends on the reader.
