Work and more Work
11.21.06 (9:09 pm) [edit]Driving home from class today, I nearly ran over an elderly gentleman on a bike in the right hand lane of a major street in town. He was leasurly riding along and as a zoomed past I happened to glance at the t-shirt he was wearing. It read, "WORK SUCKS!" I thought that saying very appropriate for someone who was definatly of retirement age.
On a slightly different note, I've decided to go into business for myself. I'm going to sell stuff on ebay. I'm going to start with selling some of my own stuff, mainly old textbooks and a few odds and ends then move onto selling bargains I happen to run across. I'm thinking interesting things I pick up at garage sales. I love garage sale-ing-- if that's a word. Might as well put those early hours on Saturday mornings to use. My mom loves to go too, so when I'm away with tennis I can put her to gathering objects for me. Any ideas as to what sort of garage sale item I should specialize in? I'm sure ebay doesn't need another "knick knack" store. I need something interesting.

Put a somewhat sketchy image of the Virgin Mary on each item and claim it as a miracle and you'll be selling items like hotcakes!

I didn't know dolls and teddies were the rage. Interesting.

I love garage or yard sales and thrift or consignment shops.
I have no idea what items are hot to sell on EBay so I can't help you there. Good luck.

I'm thinking I'll start with books and toys. See how that goes.
