Wasting tBucks

10.29.05 (4:43 pm)   [edit]
I entered my blog to be named a featured blog, simply because I have nothing better to do with my tBucks, and that costs quite a few. So yeah! Vote for me and all your wildest dreams will come true! Oh, still looking for takers on *free* tBucks.

more lesbian anime video and a rant about tv

10.29.05 (4:00 pm)   [edit]
The statistics are in! I got 33 unique visitors since last Sunday due to the content of that lesbian anime video post. I looked at these people's activites on my site too. Most of them appear to have dropped in, realized this wasn't what the wanted and left, while others surfed around a little bit, and even came back several times. Why? I can't tell you that. Maybe they realized what they were doing is rediculous. Or maybe they just wanted to laugh at me and my closemindedness. Yes, I am closed minded about moral issues, and I'm gosh dern pround of it! Most of the hits came from Europe. *shudders* What are they doing over there?! Several came from Arkansas; apparently they also enjoy lesbian cartoon porn on top of their other state sexual indescretions. If the hit wasn't from Europe, they were probably from California, so I guess the old saying is true: The only things you find in California are nuts and fruits. (I'm just kidding about ragging on Europeans, Arkansas natives, and Californians. I'd absolutely love to go to Europe one day, and the few people from over there I've met are wonderful. I can trace my family back to Arkansas. Yeah, yeah. And I've enjoyed the company every Californian I've ever met. I promise its all in good fun.) This whole business about lesibian cartoons is not intended to be good fun, though. Seriously... WHY?! Ok, I really don't want that answered. :D

Why cartoons? I really don't want that answered either. What happened to the age when cartoons were for kids? I'm not a big fan of adult cartoons, like the Simpsons, Family Guy, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, B & B, etc. because I think they're misleading to kids. I remember serfing the tv stations when I was a kid and being excited I had found a cartoon, but my parents rudely flipped it off, and explained that wasn't a cartoon for kids. No fair! Come to think of it, most tv is not child appropriate at all anymore. Not even during prime time, which makes me sick. At least put off all the scary, morally corrupt stuff off in the programming til after 9 at least so all the kiddies can get in bed. I also remember watching Rescue 911. That show isn't even about morally indecent stuff, just emergencies. I had nightmares until I was probably 10 or so because of watching that show all the time. I still jump at bumps in the night. (I know, I know; I'm a big ol' baby. *goo, goo, gah*) Seriously, get the c-rap off the tube at least until the kids are off to bed. Adults should make their own decision on what they watch, although I can't say many know what's good for them, myself included.

I'm done. :D

music downloads: acceptable or un-Christ like? #2

10.27.05 (5:03 pm)   [edit]
Just an interesting tid bit I found about a previous post found at the following link. http://www.tblog.com/template...

I found this section carried inside the cd insert of my sister's WOW 2006 cd, and I thought it an appropriate summation of my own specific "what exactly is stealing music" question.

"This recording and artwork are protected by copyright law. Using internet services to distribute copyrighted music, giving away illegal copies of discs or lending discs to others for them to copy is illegal and does not support those involved in making this piece of music-especially the artist. By carrying out any of these actions is has the same effect as stealing music.
Applicable laws provide severe civil and criminal penalties for the unauthorized reproduction, and distribution and digital transmission of copyrighted sound recordings.
Many examples of where to buy legal downloads can be found at http://www.musicfromemi.com "

I haven't looked at that website yet, but I think I might that up in a minute.

lesbian anime video

Wow. I just saw a new blog post titled as "anime sex lesbian free video". Ok, really now, who gets "excited" over lesbo cartoon characters "doing" the dirty? Those are some strange people. The few, the proud, those that live and die for lesbian cartoons! Just more evidence our world is going down the toliet. If homosexuality wasn't natural enough, homosexual cartoons are DEFINATLY not natural. *giggles* I wonder how many hits I'll get with that title. I'll report back with that statistic in about a week.

Libraries are the coolest!

10.21.05 (10:28 pm)   [edit]
I have a new love in my life: the university library. :D I have recently rediscovered my love for books, and libraries. In high school, our library was a prison for books-no really, we dubbed the librarians "library nazis". Once a book went in, it didn't come out, and no human was allowed inside except on a restricted basis-30 mins before school, not at all after school hours, and only restricted access during school hours-with a pass. Once, tennis practice got cancelled because it was hailing, and so I had no where to go. The "library nazis" wouldn't let me stay inside the library because I didn't have a pass, so I got to stand outside and dodge hail stones. Yippy, skippy. *sarcasm*

The HSU library...what a contrast. The librarians are quite helpful, and do not *sush* at all. A large group of rather rowdy students walked in, and didn't hear a word from them. *gasp* Although, the students did quiet, because libraries are sacred ground. *nods* Yes, sir. There are actually students in the library. *gasp* And they're all readily whisper a "hello" when you walk by, because we all know they're looking for a bit of a distraction from their studies. There's lots of chairs and great windows to sit in front of and look out when a break is needed. The building is three floors; I think my favorite sitting area is on the third floor looking out a huge window into the tops of some trees. :D Makes me feel like a monkey, or a bird. The chair are comfortable too, but not so comfortable you fall asleep. There are plenty of divider desks as well lining nearly every wall, and a group of study rooms, some of these also have windows. There are several couches throughout as well, and I spied a fellow student dozing on one yesterday. I had never thought of that-napping in the libarary- but that has got to be the best idea ever. The place is quiet as a tomb, and no one bothers anyone as library etiquette. Why didn't I think of that those long afternoons spent trying to sleep on dorm lobby couches with random people going in and out, and the ice machine constantly dropping new ice, while waiting for tennis practice to begin. I'm definatly hitting up the library next time I need an on campus nap! The books are actually used! (As compared to the books at my high school library which always looked new because no one ever used them.) They smell used too. :D I like the smell of yellowed pages. Makes me feel smarter. 8) I also adore the fact that there are student work stations complete with computers and printing is free for students, unless its a color page. I should hope they put that $40 tech fee to something useful, although I think the color should be free too. But that's only a minor bug in the system. Our library also houses several "reading rooms" which remain locked, but look very stately from the outside looking in. We also seem to have a rare book collection, which I must admit fascinates me. The light is always off in that room, and the books are behind glass, but just looking into a room with walls of tapestries, large leather chairs, and a gigantic desk makes me go, "OOOOOOOO!" But that's because I'm a dork like that. I didn't realize our library was home to so many government documents until yesterday when I went exploring on a break from my studies. That's pretty neat-o too, in my opinion.

So, I guess what I'm saying is be appreciative if you have a nice library; some kids don't and get library-phobia (my made up word for a fear of libraries.) I'm so glad I conqured my fear and stepped into our library. Give your local library a go!

guys v. girls on breaking up

10.16.05 (7:30 pm)   [edit]
Why she broke it off...

1. He cheated.
2. He's controlling.
3. He's an egomaniac.
4. He's selfish.
5. He's consumed with sports.
-Compiled from female college students. (Courtesy of my hometown's newspaper 10/16/05.)

All very legit answers. Although I'd be tempted to rework #5 to "He's consumed with sports and/or video games."

Why he broke it off...

1. She cheated.
2. She nagged.
3. She's a drama queen.
4. He met someone else.
5. She has ugly feet.
-Compiled from male college students. (Again, courtesy of my hometown's newspaper 10/16/05.)

Heaven forbid should she have ugly feet! Take a look at your own, pal; the male feet aren't exactly a work of art themselves.

Out of sync

10.07.05 (6:09 am)   [edit]
It seems my world has begun to crumble down around me. I think probably the main reason is that my main focus isn't on Big Guy Upstairs as much as it should be. The underlying cause is more than likly I'm not spending my time wisely enough. Now, as anyone who's known me/been around my blog for long, one would know that I rarely learn something and put the knew knowledge to no use because it bugs me to no end when people do that, especially myself, so "What do you plan to do with this info," you ask? First of all, I'm going to do my best this weekend to take an hour or two and find a quiet spot somewhere in the country near my town and just sit there and "meditate" for a while. I learned a new definition for meditation this week- to LISTEN to God. In everyday Earthly relationships, I'd like to think I'm a good listener, mainly because I don't do a whole heap of talking, unless something really strikes me as needing my opinion, but my prayers here lately have sounded more like a child's Christmas list-"I want this, and that, and whole heap of that too." Notice the lack of listening. So, I'm gonna see what I can do about that this weekend. Then of course act on whatever feedback I get, if any, because if I were God-thank goodness I'm not-I just might not answer because I was mad at me for not listening. But God is more loving than I. As for not spending my time wisely, next week I'm going to keep a detailed log of exactly where my time goes, so maybe I can cut out something, or at least be award I spend to much time doing ____. I'll keep ya posted on the outcome.

tBucks

10.05.05 (1:42 pm)   [edit]
Does anyone out there need tBucks to get something in the store? I have a bazillion, and am currently handing them out to whoever needs/wants them. They are annoying, nonusable currency, for me anyway. I don't want or need anything out of the store, and few people like my blog, so I have resigned myself to the fact I will never be a featured blog; therefore, I have no need for the almost 800 tBucks sitting in my account.
